Shaikh Nasser congratulates Isa Award laureate

His Majesty the King’s Representative for Charity Work, Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) Sport Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa has lauded the Isa Award for Service to Humanity aiming to raise awareness on humanitarian work, encourage people to engage in it and hounour persons and organisations with pioneering initiatives.

 

He praised the key role played by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to boost charitable and humanitarian work in various fields.

 

Shaikh Nasser made the statements as the winner of 2013-2015 Isa Award for Service to Humanity, Prof. Achyuta Samanta, from Odisha, India, today paid a visit to the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO), in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Isa Award for Service to Humanity.

 

Shaikh Nasser congratulated Prof. Achyuta Samanta on the award, and lauded his role in supporting the poor, and combating poverty and destitution.

 

RCO Secretary-General Dr. Mustafa Al Sayed briefed Prof. Achyuta Samanta on RCO’s history and the orphans and widows sponsored by HM the King, RCO’s Honorary President.

 

He also highlighted RCO’s projects and relief aid to brotherly and friendly countries upon directives from HM the King and follow-up of Shaikh Nasser.

 

The Isa Award for Service to Humanity lauded HM the King’s interest in charitable and humanitarian work in Bahrain and abroad, and constant care for orphans, widows and the poor.

 

He also praised RCO’s landmark achievements in Bahrain and many stricken countries, under Shaikh Nasser’s leadership.
