The General Secretariat of the Isa Award for Service to Humanity announces that it is now accepting nominations for the Award’s fourth edition (2017-2019).
In 2009, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain established the Award as a tribute to the late Emir of Bahrain His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa (may his soul rest in peace). Sheikh Isa was dedicated to serving humanity. By honouring and rewarding those who provide exceptional services to humanity, the Award recognises Sheikh Isa’s outstanding humanitarian legacy and the impact he had on his country and on the world.
Individuals, organisations, scientific research centres and pioneers who fund humanitarian projects from anywhere in the world can nominate themselves for the Award; their humanitarian work must benefit the largest possible segment of people without discrimination, and it must be non-political and non-profit.
The General Secretariat of the Award also conducts field studies to identify other eligible humanitarian projects.
Every two years, the Isa Award for Service to Humanity is presented to people and projects in the following fields:
- – Disaster response and relief
- – Education
- – Community service
- – Promoting dialogue among civilisations
- – Promoting human tolerance
- – Promoting international peace
- – Urban development
- – Climate change and protecting the environment
- – Scientific innovation
- – Alleviation of poverty and destitution
- – Any other field of humanitarian service
The nominees’ work will be judged by a jury of experts from around the world.
In June 2019, the winner of the Award will be presented with a Royal Certificate of Appreciation, a medal made of pure gold, and US $1 million at a ceremony in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The ceremony will be held under the patronage of His Highness the King of Bahrain and in the presence of senior officials, VIPs and guests from Bahrain and beyond.

Nominaciones abiertas para la cuarta edición del “Premio Isa por el Servicio a la Humanidad”
La secretaría general del Premio Isa por el Servicio a la Humanidad, anuncia la apertura del periodo de nominaciones para la cuarta edición de los premios (2017-2019).
En el año 2009, Su Majestad el Rey Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa del Reino de Baréin, fundó el premio como un homenaje al último Emir de Bahrain, Su Alteza Sheikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa (que en paz descanse), quien dedicó su vida al servicio de la humanidad. Honrando y recompensando a aquellos que entregan servicios excepcionales a la humanidad, el premio reconoce el sobresaliente legado humanitario de Sheikh Isa y el impacto que éste dejó en su país y el resto del mundo.
Individuos, organizaciones, centros de investigación científica y pioneros que hayan fundado proyectos humanitarios en cualquier parte del mundo, se podrán nominar a sí mismos para el premio. Su trabajo humanitario deberá beneficiar al mayor segmento posible de personas sin que haya discriminación, y deberá ser sin ánimo de lucro ni afiliaciones políticas.
La secretaría general del Premio dirige también por su cuenta estudios de campo para identificar otros posibles proyectos humanitarios para ser nominados.
El premio Isa por el Servicio a la Humanidad es presentado a personas y proyectos cada dos años en las siguientes áreas:
- – Respuesta y asistencia en desastres
- – Educación
- – Servicio a la comunidad
- – Promoción del diálogo entre civilizaciones
- – Promoción de la tolerancia humana
- – Promoción de la paz internacional
- – Desarrollo urbano
- – Protección del medio ambiente y cambio climático
- – Innovación científica
- – Disminución de la pobreza y la miseria
- – Cualquier otro servicio humanitario
El trabajo de los nominados será evaluado por un jurado de expertos de todo el mundo.
En junio de 2019, al ganador del premio le será entregado un Certificado Real de Reconocimiento, una medalla de oro puro y 1 millón de dólares durante una ceremonia en el Reino de Baréin. La ceremonia será patrocinada por Su Alteza el Rey de Baréin y con la presencia de altos oficiales, VIPs e invitados de Baréin y el resto del mundo.

Nominations ouvertes pour la 4ème édition du Prix Isa pour le service à l’humanité
Le Secrétariat général du Prix Isa pour le service à l’humanité annonce qu’il accepte maintenant les nominations pour la quatrième édition du Prix (2017-2019).
En 2009, Sa Majesté le Roi Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa du Royaume de Bahreïn a créé ce prix en hommage à l’émir de Bahreïn Son Altesse Cheikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa (que son âme repose en paix). Sheikh Isa était dédié au service de l’humanité. En honorant et en récompensant ceux qui fournissent des services exceptionnels à l’humanité, le Prix reconnaît le remarquable héritage humanitaire de Sheikh Isa et l’impact qu’il a eu sur son pays et sur le monde.
Les individus, les organisations, les centres de recherche scientifique et les pionniers qui financent des projets humanitaires de n’importe où dans le monde peuvent se proposer pour le Prix; leur travail humanitaire doit bénéficier au plus grand nombre possible de personnes sans discrimination et doit être non-politique et sans but lucratif.
Le Secrétariat général du Prix mène également des études de terrain pour identifier d’autres projets humanitaires admissibles.

En juin 2019, le gagnant du prix se verra remettre un certificat d’appréciation royal, une médaille en or pur et un million de dollars américains lors d’une cérémonie au Royaume de Bahreïn. La cérémonie se déroulera sous le patronage de Son Altesse le Roi de Bahreïn et en présence de hauts fonctionnaires, de personnalités de marque et d’invités de Bahreïn et d’ailleurs.
