About Isa Award

“Isa Award for services to Humanity” established in 2009 by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Bahrain. The Isa Award is granted every two years to either individuals or organizations who have been selected through a grueling process by an expert panel of jurists. These honourable individuals not only see pain, strife and hardships in this difficult world that we live in but are stirred to bring beauty where there is none, and hope where there’s despair.
The award has been named after His Highness the Late Amir of Bahrain, Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa may God rest his soul in peace
This award is a gift from Bahrain to the world. It will also inspire countless young people in different parts of the world to look for innovative ways to change the world and play their role in service to humanity.

The Man Behind The Award

The Late Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa , a great Humanitarian and a Revolutionary ruler; known for the empathy and compassion. Shaikh Isa’s rule was characterized by his dedication to driving resources towards innovative ideas in economic development, international relations, and social welfare. “Isa Award for services to Humanity” is an acknowledgment of his dedication to humanitarian causes and commitment to a world of tolerance and solidarity.

The Isa Award recognises the world changers amongst us whose tireless service through acts of compassion and innovation has helped in restoring faith in humanity and in producing a better world for succeeding generations.

Mission

The Isa Award for Service to Humanity has been established with a three-fold goal, to create awareness of extraordinary humanitarian endeavours across the world, to inspire more people to achieve excellence in humanitarian accomplishments, and to honour individuals and organisations who have singularly demonstrated an ability to make a positive impact in the world.
