Bahrain’s humanitarian achievements stressed

Manama, Feb. 21 (BNA): Secretary General of Isa Award for Service to Humanity, Ali Abdullah Khalifa, affirmed Bahrain’s unwavering approach of promoting goodness, which reflects the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the continuous follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He pointed out the humanitarian initiatives of the Kingdom of Bahrain to help brotherly and friendly countries through the adoption of various services programmes.

The Secretary General of Isa Award for Service to Humanity was speaking during a press conference held together with Nepalese ophthalmologist Dr. Sanduk Ruit who won the 5th edition of the award (2021-2022). The conference was held in the presence of local, regional and international media persons, on the sidelines of the honoring ceremony of the winner of the 5th edition of the award which was held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

The award Secretary General emphasized the importance of the award in serving humanity and boosting the kingdom’s status as a keen supporter of all efforts aimed at fostering coexistence and solidarity. He noted that the award, which was launched by HM the King, is a tribute to the noble qualities of late HM Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa and his great role in serving humanity. He congratulated the Nepalese ophthalmologist Dr. Sanduk Ruit on winning the award, commending his efforts in helping the needy.

Dr. Ruit described the honor as an incentive to work more for the service of humanity, stressing that the award reflects the approach of HM the King of adopting initiatives aimed at fostering the values of goodness and philanthropy. During the press conference, Dr. Sanduk Ruit gave a visual presentation on his most prominent humanitarian and philanthropic works which entitled him to win the award. Another film was also presented on Dr. Ruit’s success stories in treating patients.
