Isa Award for Service to Humanity participates in DIHAD exhibition

Dubai, May 12 (BNA):

Under the directives of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Special Representative of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa Award for Service to Humanity, the General Secretariat of the Award participated in the Dubai International Humanitarian Aid and Development Conference and Exhibition (DIHAD).

The event was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai.

The Isa Award for Service to Humanity’s participation highlighted the importance of maintaining an active presence in major international humanitarian forums to strengthen communication and cooperation with global organisations, while reinforcing the Kingdom of Bahrain’s institutional role in addressing global humanitarian issues.

This year marked the Isa Award for Service to Humanity’s fifth consecutive participation in the exhibition, with its largest pavilion to date, reflecting its ongoing commitment to a strong and effective presence.

The participation supported the Award’s mission to honour leading humanitarian efforts and created new opportunities for engagement with prominent regional and international charitable and humanitarian organisations.

Ali Abdullah Khalifa, Secretary-General of the Isa Award, stated that since its launch in 2004, the DIHAD exhibition has become a key platform for sharing ideas and improving humanitarian relief and development. He added that it now serves as a global forum for driving real change by encouraging collaboration and building essential partnerships among humanitarian leaders and professionals.

This year’s edition saw strong international engagement, with over 130 speakers and nearly 170 sessions and workshops. It addressed key topics such as humanitarian diplomacy, human security, climate change, migration, and global health issues. The programme also focused on empowering youth and women and promoting strategic partnerships to tackle current humanitarian challenges.

The accompanying exhibition featured a diverse range of participants across sectors, showcasing the latest technological innovations and tailored solutions to support fragile and affected communities. It also offered extensive opportunities for networking and knowledge exchange through a pre-arranged meeting system, enhancing the professionalism and effectiveness of participation.
